QAMed rapid challenge steam pack adopts a rapid biological indicator (20mins incubation time, or 60min, or 180mins) and a type 5 chemical integrator to do qualification testing for new steam sterilizers and/or relocation of steam sterilizers.
For 121 Degree Celsius gravity & 132-135 Degree Celsius vacuum assisted steam
Sterilization cycle. Rapid challenge steam pack is a routine sterilizer efficacy monitoring test pack. Only when both of the rapid biological indicator and chemical indicator are tested for right color change, it means qualified sterilization.
The Rapid Challenge Steam Pack is disposable, pre-assembled, user friendly, safe and easy to be disposed. Any unexpected color change in the test indicates that there was an air pocket present during the sterilization cycle, which can occur due to any malfunction in system or cycle.
